10/25/2022 0 Comments Apps similar to delicious libraryBlogging is both reassuring to students and motivating to see how your peer group is progressing on a task.Įxperimenting with new applications and technology, such as 'audacity' and USB mic in class, and getting Internet access at home has made me more readily embrace new software at home too (in particular 'Dragon Naturally' speech recognition software). The blogg would assist me to keep track of students (which at the moment is very time consuming task and distracts from my lecturing), it is a more efficient means of communication than email, and builds more of a mutually beneficial community - students can follow each other, read the comments, and if they have same problems they can share and help each other. I could envisage setting up a group of my students within a blogg community for a specific module or brief. Regarding blogspot, I've enjoyed blogging on the things we have looked at in class, and have found it useful to follow other students bloggs, this is a real advantage over the written/printed journal that we did as part of the PCET course. They can not only enhance the students presentations but the '' mindmapping ideas process and the 'wordle' extraction and visualisation of the most common words, may actually contribute to conceptual development to a certain extent. The small apps such as '' and 'wordle' will definitely have a place within the design courses that I'm lecturing on. Some of the applications we have looked at, whilst fun to use, have crossed over into the areas I'm lecturing in (such as those with Flash content) so I need to be a little wary of using them and careful to ensure when it's appropriate to do so. #APPS SIMILAR TO DELICIOUS LIBRARY PDF#In just the last 2 weeks I have had to put various messages and pdf files onto SMU blackboard, and would have liked the option to add more of the elements that have gone into my 'moodle' Student Help Centre. The ones that have stood out for me have been 'moodle' itself, because of the ease and speed with which it can be turned into a learning resources site, and the convenience and logic to having all useful and important course information stored in one central area, accessible to tech savvy students and engaging with them in a meaningful and relevant way. It has also been an opportunity to reflect on all the various software and applications we have used over the option. It was the last E-Learning this week, and it was a chance for us to tie up any loose ends and put the finishing touches onto our 'moodle' sites.
